Our client is seeking to recruit a dynamic General Manager. You will be reporting directly to the Group General Manager. This position will be based in Muscat, Oman
Provide overall leadership and direction to the Business Unit, instilling confidence and commitment from all stakeholders in the increasing value of the business through the formulation and achievement of empowering strategic objectives that are aligned to the company's overall corporate strategy and ensures the Business Unit is efficient, effective, quality conscious and profitable in all target business areas.

Provide Business Unit staff with an empowering view of the company's mission, vision, values and the key strategic objectives so that these stakeholders are fully aware of the current as well as future opportunities and challenges.
Strategic Contribution
Contribute towards the formulation and implementation of overall business strategies and plans with specific focus on Business Unit revenues and margins which enable the achievement of company's mission and objectives.
Business Strategy
Ensure the effective implementation of strategies and plans through the leadership of the Business Unit in order to ensure that the highest level of performance is achieved and objectives are met.
Play a consultative role in review and development of functional plans and budgets to ensure that plans are realistic and stretching but capitalise upon commercialoperational opportunities.
Business Performance
Monitor operational business performance against strategic objectives by regular management review to ensure that objectives are fulfilled and ant required corrective action is taken in an efficient and timely manner. Planning and controlling
Responsible for the realization of the defined company targets as well as the overall sales and market share, marketing and after sales objectives in co-operation with the management. Responsible for monthly planning of turnovers and sales figures in all departments of the company and ensures that the monthly budget figures for each individual department are laid down in an annually updated business plan. Analyses the need for investment and submits proposals to company management. Manages the stock level and approves new orders in case the Sales Manager is not holding that responsibility. Ensures that the sales program is competitive and meets customer requirements through setting up respective targets with the sales manager. Ensures the targeting and acquisition of new and existing prospects within the market region through setting up respective targets for the Sales Manager. Develops the corporate sales capacity within the country by mentoring and directing Sales Manager, Corporate Specialists and Sales Consultants. Organization Develops standards or realizes manufacturer standards in agreement with the management in the form of handling instructions or working directives, respectively, with which the agreed targets can be achieved. Basis for this are the job descriptions for all employees and descriptions of working processes and conduct directives. Ensures transparency of the company concept, company targets and company culture he ensures a quick flow of information through appropriate meeting and communication culture, so that all the persons responsible are informed optimally in the interest of the company. The use of modern communication and information systems, in particular a Dealer Management System is checked regularly by the function holder and, if necessary, realized in agreement with management. Business development Responsible for optimal exploitation of the market by the sales department (and service department to understand as a recommendation) within the market analysis area. Draws up an overall business plan in agreement with the management which the marketing strategies are defined. Ensures the realization of active marketing through using the marketing mix effectively by increasing the brand awareness and the image of the dealership. Initiates and controls all advertising and PR-effective measures in agreement with management. Determines the regional model, price and communication policy for sales and service in agreement with the management and checks these regularly for their suitability. Ensures that his department managers carry out regular competition analyses in their market analysis area, summarizes the results and, if necessary, introduces corrective measures in agreement with management.
Profit responsibility
Checks the overall company and department results every month and conducts an actual to plan comparison with the budgeted plan figures. Encourages the department managers to improve turnover targets and supports them with the aim to realize and overachieve the budget figures. Relationship ManagementMaintain an extensive network of internal and external contacts to ensure that the Business Unit is optimally placed in its understanding of business, economic and commercial challenges and opportunities. Lead relationship building initiatives with Principal Vendors including playing the lead role in negotiations with respect to pricing, procurement and inventory control.Procurement, Pricing and Inventory
Ensures procurement plans, inventory (includes Warehousing and Logistics) and pricing guidelines are in line with market conditions to ensure cost timely supply and cost effectiveness is achieved and objectives are met. Directs Principal Oder placing by effectively determining sales demand, placing orders with Principals based on demand and corporate sales objectives in order to maximize business performance.

Ensure the effective implementation of business strategy through leadership of the Business Unit - setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal - in order to ensure that the highest level of performance is achieved.
